Hi! I’m Samantha!
(she/her)
Healing begins when we stop fighting our feelings and start becoming curious about them.
As a counselor-in-training, educator, and mother, I am passionate about creating a warm, genuine, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel truly heard and understood. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process and that each person brings their own strengths, experiences, and perspective into the room.
My approach is primarily person-centered, while also drawing from attachment-based and psychodynamic perspectives to explore how early experiences, relationships, and patterns may influence the way we understand ourselves and connect with others.
I tailor my approach to each client’s individual needs and am especially interested in working with anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, relationship and family dynamics, identity, emotional regulation, and parenting.
Before entering the counseling field, I spent several years working in education with children and families. My experience as an educator has shaped my interest in child development, family relationships, and understanding people within the larger systems and environments that influence their lives. I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northwestern University, and I earned my Bachelor of Science from Northeastern University.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters, traveling, being outdoors, and finding new activities and experiences to enjoy as a family.
