How Do I Know If Therapy Is Right For My Teen?
Are you a loving parent who’s tried it all, and yet your child is still struggling? It can feel so exhausting and helpless when our kids face difficulties we don’t understand how to fix. And even though you’ve done the research, and you’ve done the hard work, and you’ve tried to reach out to your child - you might still see them stuck in the same symptoms. You’re not alone! You don’t have to figure this out by yourself.
How Does Therapy Help Teens Who Are Struggling?
At Herr-Era, we use evidence-based approaches like Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to create a treatment plan for your teen.
It’s our honor and great responsibility to sit with your child and help them in this moment, to get to the bottom of what’s happening and help them implement healthier coping skills, healthier communication, and new perspectives.
Is A Parent or Family Involved in Teen Therapy?
Therapy is confidential between a clinician and your teen. However, we also serve as the bridge between teens and their families; we’re here to help advocate for your unity and healthy communication. Therapy works best in a team! We’ll lovingly work to collaborate on what your joint goals are and get you back on the same page!
