What services do you offer?

At Herr-Era Mental Health, we offer individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy for teens, college students, and young adults. Our services are strengths-based, relationship-focused, and offered in English, Spanish, and even Spanglish!

How do I get started with therapy?

There are 3 ways to get started with us:

1) Fill out the contact form and have us call you

2) Schedule your own consultation call directly on the calendar

3) Call or text our office

What makes Herr-Era different?

At Herr-Era, we see diagnoses as context, rather than a necessity.

Our focus is what are we seeing now and how did we get here?

We help you manage symptoms, create strategies for healthier long-term coping, understand what’s led to these concerns, and truly build a life you feel passionate about.

Our loving therapists provide a combination of psychodynamic therapy with techniques like CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, and attachment-based treatment to help build self-esteem, emotional resilience, self-confidence, and a deep connection to yourself and others.

Do you offer any free services?

Yes! We offer free support groups and 15 minute consultation calls.

What will I walk away with after therapy?

After starting therapy at Herr‑Era Mental Health, you’ll start to notice that you understand yourself better, move through situations and emotions differently, and start to make strides towards your goals. You’ll feel supported and seen! Everyone experiences therapy differently, but the more you show up, open up, and engage in the process, the more you get out of it.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes! We work with most major insurances. Please contact our office for the most updated information.

Is teletherapy available?

Yes! At Herr‑Era Mental Health, you can meet with your therapist from the comfort of your favorite couch with teletherapy sessions.

We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform to ensure your safety and confidentiality during the session.

Before your first appointment, we’ll guide you through how to log in and connect through our client portal, and our team is always available to answer any questions you may have.

What can I expect from therapy?

Therapy is about what YOU need. A whole hour completely dedicated to you that is private, relaxed, and judgment-free. It’s not always comfortable, and most of the time, it’s not easy.

You and your therapist will talk through your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and anything that has been going on in your life. Oftentimes, this includes painful experiences or memories you haven’t yet faced. But you set the pace, and you’re in control. This is where the growth happens; your therapist is so honored to be in this space with you.

Your therapist will help work with you to notice patterns, recommend new skills, help grow your awareness and confidence, and hold you accountable to treatment goals you will create together.
